Ivana Željković, a PhD holder from University of Split has a PhD in marine engineering. As she explained PhD holders in Croatia are not highly appreciated on the market as there is a belief that PhD is only needed at  academia. Her current profession is managing scientific and R&D projects at shipbuilding institute at Brodosplit DIV group.
