After finishing her doctorate in agricultural sciences at Kiel University, Yvonne Rößner didn’t want to continue working in research but to do something applied and she ended up working in a private salmon trout farming company.  

During her doctorate, she learned crisis management which helped her later, in job organisation. She also finds courses in popular science writing useful for customer contact. From her point of view, the doctorate helps open some doors, even if it’s just the telephone company you contact with the title.
