This internship wants to train an intern in research in the field of intimate writing: to introduce him to the specificities of epistolary and diaristic writing; to make him work on European networks of correspondence, conveying for several centuries innovative ideas in the field of thought, arts and sciences. The interest in the imaginary of the sea in literature, in connection with the analysis of the intimate, will also be a positive factor. More specifically, a research work on the place of the sea in the correspondence of Ernest Renan (lexicography: frequency of words related to this lexical field; geography: survey of the regions of the world visited by the writer; literary analysis) would be particularly useful.

Indicative weekly schedule: 35h / week
Remuneration: 600€/month, paid on French SEA-EU funds for a maximum of 5
months; additional Erasmus grant could be asked to your own university.
Internship agreement: an internship agreement will be signed.
