Discover doctorate holders from the SEA-EU Alliance

The goal of our community and the Erasmus+ SEA-EU Doc project is to expand employment opportunities, especially in the non-academic world, for PhD holders in the blue economy sectors. One of the methods which we used was to explore such ‘success stories’ through implementing interviews with various PhD holders working outside of academia. These interviews identify factors that may influence the success of PhD holders in developing careers outside the academic sector. It also helps identify the key elements that should be included in PhD student’s training. If not provided by the study programme itself, students can always seize opportunities to obtain the qualifications and skills externally. And our SEA-EU Blue Community will help them in doing that.

Find out about their transition to non-academic sector

Our team will collect 60+ interviews with doctoral holders from the blue economy coming from six partners of the SEA-EU alliance: University of Cádiz (Spain), University of Western Brittany (France), Kiel University (Germany), University of Gdańsk (Poland), University of Split (Croatia) and University of Malta (Malta).

Soon you will find out about their interesting career paths and all the obstacles and assets they found on their path.
