then Sunce is the place for you! We are looking for a motivated and creative person who is eager to learn more about how to take care of nature and the environment and spread this knowledge further.

WORKPLACE DESCRIPTION
– designing new interactive educational workshops, activities, programs and materials
– implementation of educational programs in the field (in educational and public institutions, business sector…) on the topics of nature and environmental protection
– self-evaluation of one’s own work and performed activities
– monitoring professional literature, examples of good practice and new research related to education for the purpose of constant modernization and improvement of work
– monitoring of national and local educational policies related to environmental protection and sustainable development
– participation in advocacy activities to improve education for environmental protection and sustainable development
– maintaining existing and establishing new contacts with educational and higher education institutions and teachers and maintaining a database of contacts
– mentoring of volunteers and/or students on programs of service-learning and professional practice
– organization and participation in the implementation of public events of Sunce (Biciklijada, marking environmental dates, workshops, exhibitions, etc.)
– preparation of draft content for the media, websites and social networks of Sunce
– implementation of other project and team tasks as needed by the organization.

CONDITIONS
Bachelor of Science in natural or social sciences
previous experience in conducting education or other form of pedagogical work
high quality of written and oral expression
excellent written and oral knowledge of Croatian and English
excellent computer skills
category B driver’s license (active driver)
ADVANTAGES
– university diploma of teacher of natural or social sciences, teacher studies, pedagogy or higher vocational education with completed additional pedagogical and psychological education
– additional formal or informal education related to education for environmental protection and sustainable development
– completed training for a volunteer coordinator
– work or volunteering in the civil society sector
– application of environmentally responsible principles in everyday life (separate collection, composting, etc.)
– knowledge of environmental and nature protection
– knowledge of the principles of action and actors of civil society in the Republic of Croatia and the EU.

With the selected candidate, we will conclude a work contract for a fixed period of time (1 year) with the possibility of extending the contract. The trial period is three months.

The following must be attached to the tender application:
– CV
– a letter of motivation, up to a maximum of 800 words, which contains a description of past experience, acquired skills and knowledge relevant to the specified position, motivation to work in this position and personal expectations from the position and the Sun.

Applications that do not contain the specified documentation will not be considered. The deadline for submitting the application is the end of November 20, 2022. The expected start of work is during January 2023.

Candidate selection procedure:
A three-member commission will read all received applications that contain complete documentation and, based on an assessment of their quality, will select a maximum of eight candidates for the shortlist. Candidates from the narrow circle will be interviewed and, if necessary, additional testing. Based on the results, the best candidate will be selected. Candidates selected for the shortlist will be notified of a possible interview by phone, and all candidates will be notified of the results of the competition by e-mail.
